I am asking for a new phone for christmas but i don’t know which one i want, i really like the Cliq at least what i’ve seen of it but it seems a little laggy but i don’t know. What Are The Advantages & Disadvantages To Giving Your Android Free Will? Why Would You Or Would You Not?

I don’t have an android, but I guess this is a hypothetical question.
If an android was created by humans then it would depend if it was programmed how to act by humans, or if it was genuinely sentient.
If it was just programmed how to act, then it could not have free will, as it’s programming and therefore it’s responses would be actually our will. An interesting though is whether or not something can be programmed to have free will!!!! Can spontaneity be programmed, it depends on your perception.
If it was genuinely sentient then I’m guessing that it’s mind would have evolved in a specific environment. If it’s minds evolution was revolved around it’s own survival, then it could be dangerous for us, as it’s own survival would be more important than ours.
If we constrained it’s evolutionary learning, so that we gave it positive feedback when it was beneficial of kind to humans, and negative feedback when it was harmful or useless to humans, then this would be safe.
But this would mean that the android wouldn’t have complete free will. It would have free will within the constraints of satisfying humans, but not total free will.
The other question that arises, is could it become sentient at all?
This is one of those questions that throws up more questions than answers, but thanks for such a fun question

What recent Science Fiction movie in the 21st century had a Soilder, Alien, or Android with a limited speaking. I remember a movie where this talk muscular marie looking guy starred in this movie and has a limited speaking role. He spoke less than a 100 words in the movie. I think he was living with family. This white guy is a very famous actor. What was the name of the movie?
