I’ve had my captivate for about a week and just got clockwork installed, now I just need a ROM to try. Any suggestions? BTW, will it be easy to revert to stock if I want to eventually install Samsung’s official froyo update (and GPS fix)? Thanks and subscribed.

thats stupid y u didnt just download quick boot app to go into recorvery much easier

  3. MegaShawn1979 says:

@ed08100 a rom called vibrant 6 try that its fast its not to many roms really out for the vibrant or captivate

@MegaShawn1979 I downloaded/demonstrated the ROM Manager, which is equally as quick…But I purposely demonstrated the “command prompt way” and “manual way” so that viewers would be exposed to the more “difficult ways” and know how to use them if there came a time where there’d be no “easy” way out. It’s a personal preference, that’s all.

@MegaShawn1979 Thanks for the suggestion – I own a i9000, so I’m too familiar with vibrant or captivate roms.

00:35 FACEPLANT! btw dece video but none of the methods work the manual way with the buttons just boots it up normally

  8. TechSaviSolution says:

@sixfatpeople 00:35 LOL yeah, sorry :) Anyways, 1.) you’re on the i9000, not the vibrant or captivate, right? 2.) Does the recovery mode at least just flash on the screen for a second or two? Or does it not do anything at all? 3.) I’m almost positive that ROM Manager will work for you. 4.) remember that for the command prompt, the SDK folder must be named AndroidSDK, and must be located in the C: folder for the commands to work.
